The Position
PAHS is offering 2 Near New Grad Speech Pathology positions that will see you working as an Allied Health Assistant in conjunction with our speech pathology team. You will be supported to carry out therapy plans with individuals and groups, and create therapy plans under the guidance of our senior speech pathologists. In this position you will be uniquely situated to experience working within a multi-d private practice in the real world prior to graduation.
As we know that you will be in the final stages of your degree, we are more than happy to be flexible with days and hours, this position ideally suits 1-2 days a week.
Upon completion of your degree and the Near New Grad Program there will be the opportunity to continue your employment with PAHS as a Speech Pathologist where you will be offered:
- Flexible family friendly hours- part-time or full-time hours
- Well-developed new staff/grad orientation program with weekly supervision, scheduled observations, and shadowing opportunities. High quality internal supervision.
- Excellent clinical support with a clinical manager who is a speech pathologist, a senior speech pathologist as your clinical supervisor, and a team of speech pathologists to bounce ideas off.
- A rewarding role offering not only the diversity to work with children and/or adults but the ability to explore areas you are passionate in: such as Dysphagia; AAC; animal assistive therapy and feeding.

The Position
We are seeking professionals who are passionate about working with people with disabilities to join our team. The role is available as either part time or full time and the responsibilities include:
- Providing client driven, evidence-based therapy services to clients in their home, clinic and/or community environments, focusing on meeting the NDIS and client goals.
- Provision of therapy services to children and/or adults with disabilities, including developmental delays, autism and intellectual disabilities.
- Conducting assessments and reporting in a timely and accurate manner as required for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and generating recommendations.

- Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) certification
or be willing to obtain prior to commencing employment - Child Safe Environments ‘Through Their Eyes’ Training
or be willing to obtain prior to commencing employment - South Australia Driver’s Licence
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in working within the Disability sector (preferable)
