Pearson Allied Health Services is a registered provider with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), we specialise in providing allied health services to children, young people and adults with disabilities. Offering a flexible service, sessions can take place in our office, our therapy house, our farm or within the community. Our goal is to provide a truly person-centred service while working within a trans-disciplinary team.
We are seeking a passionate, motivated and highly efficient Human Resources Officer/Manager. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing support to the leadership team on key strategies, trends and issues to ensure that the organisation implements and develops best human resource practices.
- Coordinate the employee recruitment process; create and revise job descriptions; conduct new employee orientations; oversee the exit process; Facilitate employee on-boarding and pre-employment checks
- Support various process improvement initiatives and projects
- Help develop and revise organisational policies and procedures.
- Implement, monitor and review systems to ensure the successful passing of the NDIS bi-annual auditing process.
- Assist with WHS activities
- Ad-hoc duties as required by the employer.
Skills and attributes
- Highly motivated with superior attention to detail
- Minimum 2 years in a similar HR / P&C role
- Tertiary HR or related qualifications highly desirable
- Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and respond to the need of the team
- Be a part of the PAHS leadership.

Knowledge: - Understanding of child safety and the legislation surrounding this.
Understanding and knowledge of the Privacy Act and relevant confidentiality requirements. - Understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct and act in compliance at all times and willing to act in accordance with the PAHS Mission Statement.
- Understanding of Disability Service Standards and relevant legislation.
- Understanding of United Nations Convention on Human Rights for People with a Disability.
