Callum is an experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian who is dedicated to supporting individuals to develop positive relationships with food. He is committed to providing inclusive, equitable support based on unconditional respect, which is why his practice is grounded in a weight-neutral approach that is neurodiversity-affirming, sexuality- and gender-affirming, and trauma-informed. His goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space for people of all body types, backgrounds, and identities and needs to engage with food in a way that is accessible, individualised, financially feasible, and enjoyable.
With experience working in public health, NDIS, and substance use recovery, Callum has extensive experience managing medical nutrition therapies for conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cholesterol management, gastrointestinal issues, food intolerances, malnutrition, multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis and more. He also works closely with individuals to achieve goals like increasing the variety of foods they enjoy, improving relationships with food and body image, developing independent living skills, increasing food and nutrition knowledge, learning how to plan tasty, balanced meals, and any other nutrition-related goals you may have. Callum can also provide training and education to families and support teams to ensure they are best able to support your goals, create safe and supportive eating environments, and support for clients with complex dietary needs, including dysphagia and food allergies.
He is particularly interested in the impact that food has on mental health, as well as working with neurodivergent adults and families.
Outside of work, Callum is passionate about music, having played bass in several local bands and occasionally gives beginner bass lessons (that are more of a jam session, really!) In addition to music, Callum enjoys board games, bowling, and creative hobbies like crochet, creepy costume design, and digital art – though he’s a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, and lives by the motto “I’ll try anything twice!”
