Respite Accommodation (STR)
Flexible, Purposeful Breaks Tailored to You.
Respite Accommodation at Pearson’s Service
Adventures, Animals & Unforgettable Respite
(for children and adults)
At Pearson’s, we believe respite should be more than simply time apart – it should be a positive, meaningful, and memorable experience for everyone involved.
For families and carers, it’s the chance to rest and recharge with peace of mind. For participants, it’s an opportunity to enjoy a safe, engaging, and enjoyable stay filled with connection, activities, and fun.
We offer a wide range of Short Term Respite (STR) options designed to suit different needs, interests, and support levels, from peaceful country escapes to activity-rich community-based experiences. Support is flexible and can be tailored to each participant, from 1:1 individual support through to 1:3 shared experiences. For shared stays, we take extra care to thoughtfully match participants so that everyone feels comfortable, included, and supported.
At Pearson’s, we work closely with participants to ensure every stay is individualised, goal-focused, and aligned with NDIS requirements. We’ll arrange a planning meeting with you or your support coordinator to talk through your stay, answer any questions, and take care of the necessary documentation, thus making the process smooth and stress-free so you can focus on creating a great experience.
We also stay up to date with the latest NDIS guidelines around STR. We understand it can sometimes be confusing to know what is and isn’t allowable under respite, which is why our team is here to make it simple – guiding you through the changes, providing clarity, and helping you organise the right STR option with confidence. With the recent changes to NDIS guidelines around respite, providers are now required to strictly follow the ratio of care set out in each participant’s plan. To ensure we meet these requirements – and to avoid issues that have arisen with some plan managers – we now request a snippet of the participant’s plan showing the approved ratio of care before finalising any STR booking.
