Our Adelaide Hills Day activity will take participants up into the beautiful Adelaide Hills region by private bus, visiting the National Motor Museum and then the Giant Rocking Horse. Supported by our Mentor team, participants will discuss and set group rules and norms for the day and discuss how to stay safe when out in the community. Whilst at the National Motor Museum we will engage in some structured group activities, facilitated by the Museum, which will encourage the development of social skills and team work. Travelling to the Giant Rocking Horse, we will enjoy our lunch in a designated picnic area, before commencing a guided tour through the toy factory. During the tour, participants will have an opportunity to practice their listening skills, followed by a discussion of what we found interesting during the tour. Following the tour, participants will have the opportunity to climb the Giant Rocking Horse and feed the animals in the animal park, before heading back to the PAHS Morphett Vale office.
Please note, we cannot guarantee that there will be facilities to purchase food or drinks during full day activities, so we ask that families provide a packed lunch, snacks and bottle of water for the day.
