Jana started her career in health care at the age of 18, in 2018. She gained her Certificate III in Individual Care, she then used this to start working in a nursing home as a personal care worker. She furthered her education by completing a Certificate IV in Individual Care in 2019 that she then used to apply for University. She started University in 2019 studying Nursing, while still working in the nursing home. After over a year of working in a nursing home, she decided to continue her journey and gain more experience by working in an agency. She worked in nursing homes all around Adelaide as well as attending elderly living in the community. In 2020, Jana decided to change her degree from nursing to Psychological Science instead, this then led her to work in the disability sector at Pearsons Allied Health.
Jana has experience working with people who have physical, sensory, neurological, psychiatric, intellectual disabilities and palliative care. Some disabilities including autism, multiple sclerosis, acquired brain injury, dementia, schizophrenia, hearing, and vision impairments.
Jana enjoys listening and finding new music, traveling, playing volleyball and most sports, going to the dog park with her pup and building things; her current project is converting a van into a camper van.
