Social Imagination

Art-based group that uses art as a medium for expression

Social Imagination is an Art-based group that uses art as a medium for expression and developing ideas and skills.  This hands-on group will get participants using a variety of different mediums such as; paint, collage, sculpture, and fabric as well as exploring different strategies to better manage their emotions. Emphasis will be placed on developing social skills and having fun in a supportive environment.

Social Imagination uses a play based approach to encourage social interactions and begins the development of appropriate language and the use of body language to communicate to others. Social Imagination also begins to introduce the concepts of emotional-regulation and work to develop an understanding of what our emotions mean.
