Creation Explanation

Explore and create through Lego

Creation Explanation gives participants the opportunity to explore and create through Lego whilst also developing essential skills. This program has been designed to help individuals develop their social skills, through shared experience and team based tasks, and their critical thinking skills. By using Lego as the medium, Creation Explanation helps individuals to develop their fine motor skills and increasing their ability to maintain focus and attention.

Working in small groups, with individual roles assigned to each person, Creation Explanation will help to develop understanding of group norms and appropriate communication and relationship skills. Each role has different responsibilities and requires participants to work together and communicate to complete their assignment. Each group, participants will have the opportunity to change roles and explore how to complete each task from a different perspective.

Facilitated by our Therapy and Mentor teams, Creation Explanation provides young people with trained adult support and role modelling to assist in developing:

  • Social skills
